This is a partial list of some of the accomplishments and products I have developed
I studied Food Science at Fresno State University, wrote a thesis on ice cream production and a thesis on agriculture self sufficiency in Lebanon published an An-Nahar. I was awarded a Doctorate for my thesis. For the past 25 years, I have been working in the chocolate arena doing product development, marketing, and sales. Many publications have written articles on my products and work. (Candy Industry, MC Manufacturing and several newspapers). I was named "Chocolate Trend Setter" by the Candy Industry (2005). My products have graced the covers of several industry magazines (MC Manufacturing, Coffee & Tea, Parade, and the Martha Stewart Living magazine (2004). I was the first to introduce "chocolate truffles" to the States. I was voted by my peers to be the best chocolate innovator in the industry (2001).
I was the guest speaker at the Natural Food Show. I gave talks on "The Real Challenge of Functional Confections" (2005).
Products include:
- Nordstrom's Traditional Truffle
- Macy's-Created and produced Macy's private label European truffles (1985-1989).
- Wine filled chocolate-(the only liquid wine filled chocolate in the world). This wine filled product is sold throughout the US, Canada, and Japan. The best selling chocolate in Napa-Sonoma wineries since 1987.
- "Sophia"-A caramelized champagne chocolate cork created for Francis Ford Coppola Winery.
- "Chocolati Biscotti"-Crushed biscotti infused in chocolate in a triangle shape. It has recently been imitated by Lindt Chocolate.
- "Chocolati Tartini"-Created to compliment coffee. Was voted the best new product in 2004 at the coffee and tea show.
- Laura Secord-Helped their marketing team and created 26 new products.
- Whole Foods-I created 6 nutritional and energy bars for this company under their private label "365". Three of these products are on the shelves at this time.
- I formulated my own blend of base chocolate that is produced for me by Schokinag in Germany.
- International Japan Senka-I created the "Fresh Truffle" for Senka. This truffle was the #1 selling truffle in Japan in 2002.
- Martha Stewart-Martha Stewaqr chose my panned pear for her wedding issue magazine. It was used in photography and in the wedding of Martha's editor.
- Sugar Free-I developed a full line of sugar free products. (Panned goods, truffles, chocolate bars for Suzanne Sommers.
- Monterey Bay Chocolate-Formulated a maple caramel, and gourmet cremes.
- Endangered species chocolate-Help creating the #1selling chocolate bar.
- Formulated California State University Award winning Ice-cream (1980)
- Courage- My life story was published in the book "COURAGE"
